*Update: the petition has worked and the development has been put on hold for now, hurray!

Cecily and friend Georgia Bosson created a collaborative live mural at the Crafty Fox Spring Market held at the Bussey Building in Peckham, London.

Georgia and Cecily both live and work in South East London and decided to expand beyond selling their usual wares to create a mural that celebrates the Peckham skyline as part of the ongoing, community-led efforts to save Peckham's views.

This artwork has been inspired by the ‘Protect Peckham's rooftop view' petition; a campaign aiming to discourage plans for a new 20-storey development in central Peckham.

The large mural (2m x 3m) was created over 3 days, beginning with Georgia screen-printing the sky using her Dotty print, this part was done prior to the event due to the restrictions of screen printing as well as the time constraints of completing a drawing of this scale in two days.

Cecily then spent the two days of the market drawing her interpretation of the Peckham skyline in her signature wonky style.

A limited edition screen print of the design is available here.

Cecily and Georgia would love to take on more commissions like this so if you have an office space, cafe or other area that you would like a mural created for please don't hesitate to get in touch.
